This week’s Life Book assignment is to write about anything you want! Try and find something special to glue into your book and then write about it. (Example: a movie ticket stub, a card, a postcard/picture) You could write about something that you did over Thanksgiving Break. Have fun and be creative. Your story should have a topic sentence, three details, and a closing sentence. Remember to write the date on the top of the page.

There will be no school Monday, November 20 - Friday, November 24 for Thanksgiving Break. Enjoy this time with your friends and family. Please encourage your child to continue to read daily over the break. Scootpad is also available to use over the break. Happy Thanksgiving!!
Thank you to everyone who donated canned food to Nate Mack's Canned Food Drive. Our class was able to donate 115 items to the food drive. The students were so excited each day to count the canned food and color our turkey feathers.

Congratulations to Jac for being November Mountain Lion of the Month. Jac has been working hard in class and is showing his Mountain Lion life skills everyday. He is a hard worker and helpful to his teachers and friends. We are so glad that Jac is in Room 11 at Nate Mack.
What: The First Grade Thanksgiving Friends and Family Day
Who: All families and Friends of Nate Mack First Graders When: Friday, November 17th at 8:30 a.m. Where: Nate Mack Multipurpose Room We have so much to be thankful for as a school community, and we want to celebrate! Come and watch your first grader sing a variety of Thanksgiving songs. Afterwards, we will enjoy some yummy desserts and family time here at Nate Mack. Students will arrive at the playground during normal times (7:40-7:55am). Parents will be invited to the multi-purpose room to be seated at 8:30am. Students should wear Thanksgiving/Fall colors. Please consider bringing your favorite Thanksgiving dessert to share on this special day! Life Book assignment this week is to write about how your family plans to celebrated Thanksgiving. Write at least 5 sentences.
There will be NO SCHOOL on Monday, November 6 for Parent Teacher Conferences and NO SCHOOL on Friday, November 10 for Veterans Day. Please continue to have your child read and practice their sight words. Enjoy your time off with your children.
The Life Book assignment this week is to complete What Could I Be? This paper will be glued into the student’s Life Book. They need to finish the two sentences and draw a picture. Life Book’s are due on Thursday this week.
Nate Mack Student Council will be sponsoring a Canned Food Drive starting November 8 to help Nate Mack Families. Please consider donating. Students can bring the items to school and put in our classroom box. Thank You!!
